UPDATE:

Hi Everyone!
Thanks so much for checking in on the blog...as you can see, I am behind. As soon as I found out that I was having back surgery, I made my list of everything that needed to get done before hand. Well it's now the night before surgery and I still have several items on my list that I didn't get to...and I just am not going to have enough time to get to them.
I'm sorry to say that my intention for "pre-posting" some blog entries is one of them. Ever since my set back over Thanksgiving weekend, I have had a difficult time sitting - thus I have not stamped nor blogged (I know...I know, you've heard me say it before and I'm going to say it again in hopes my dear hubby see's this - I WANT A LAPTOP:) How much easier that would make my life!
Well I want to wish you you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS and I'll be back stamping and blogging as soon as I can.
I have already started my plans for some Valentine projects in my head and have ordered some items from the new mini catalog which will come out in January!
Thanks again for being patient....I hope you'll have fun checking out the archives and past projects I've blogged about and hopefully you can find some inspiration there!
Thanks again & I'll be back soon!
Kendra

Friday's Spotlight...

Today's Spotlight is on this cute gift box - perfect that special homemade holiday goodie.
Sometimes the packaging can be just as special as the gift inside!
(This project uses the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper - which is no longer available. But our SU! Candy Cane fabric would also work on this box.)

Wednesday's Card or Scrapbook Share...

I have a card to share with you today that uses the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Scallop Trim Border Punch, and Stampin' Pastel Chalks. I first ran the Ivory Naturals CS through the Big Shot using the embossing folder. I then cut from chipboard a tree shape. I used the negative piece to lay on top of my embossed cardstock and used a spong and Old Olive Ink first to create the tree. I then went back with an applicator (or q-tip works nicely) and applied the red chalk to the center of the flowers. I punched a piece of Chocolate Chip CS with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and attached that to my tree piece. I then tied a 1/4" Old Olive grosgrain ribbon around my tree piece and tied into a knot. I attached that to my card base which is Riding Hood Red CS. Lastly...I stamped my greeting, and used Dimensionals to attach it.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this idea!

Tuesday's Tool, Technique, or Tutorial...

Today I have a tutorial for you that will show you how to create this front door card. Below you will see pictures and written instructions with-in the picture...just follow along and create your very own cozy front door card.
Credit for this design goes to LeAnn G. who's blog I sometimes pop in on. Lately with being on pain pills and muscle relaxers...let's just say my brain is FUZZY most days. So to see something this creative - I just had to CASE the idea and share it with you and save on brain power. You will see me sharing alot of ideas with you this month from other demonstrators. I'm looking forward to having to take to many more of these pills after my surgery!
Thanks for stopping by and have fun with this tutorial!

Monday's Big Shot Project Share...

I have (3) cute and fairly simple tags that incorporate using the Big Shot...which makes for quick crafting!
By using (2) Tags, cutting them a bit shorter, and scoring them...I'm able to make a darling candy cane holder. ..perfect for swapping treats with class mates or leaving for as a secret santa gift.
This one is also using (2) tags and merging them together. It is the perfect size for a gift card to Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, or anywhere!
Lastly, I have a vintage tag to share with you. Christmas doesn't have to all be cute and bright...simple and memorable work too!

Sunday Share...

I have a Christmas Tag and a cookie idea to share with you today. The tag uses the Snowflake Embossing Folder in the Mini Catalog and the Winter Post Set. It is a bit vintage and is the perfect embellishment to top off a brown bag wrapped present.
I just LOVE this cookie idea - I can't remember where my sister saw this idea...but theses are just darling and I'm glad she shared the idea with me so I could share it with you!
Happy Sunday.

Saturday's Sketch...

Here is today's sketch challenge. As you can tell it was a challenge for me to remember what side of the card the element went on...and like a dork - I put it on the wrong side. Oh well! You get the jist of it.
Have fun creating and trying this quick sketch!
